Curriculum Vitae


Natalia Sidler was born in Zurich. She studied piano at the Zurich Conservatory and Theatre Zurich, at the University of Arts in Berlin with Prof. Georg Sava, obtained her master's degree at the Basle Academy of Music, and completed studies in classical song-accompaniment with Irwin Gage and Wolfram Rieger.

Natalia Sidler plays the piano, the ondes martenot, the color-light piano and the moog in different formations and is co-founder of the Ensemble Musique Brute and Klingenberg, specializing in free improvisation.

Since 1995 she has been assistant professor at the Berlin Academy of Arts. She directed the music of the «Farboper Violett» (1914) by Wassily Kandinsky. Since 1998 she has been teaching contemporary improvisation and piano at Zurich Academy of Arts.

Since2008 she has been researching in the field of computergraphics language-exercises for dislexic in relation with music together with prof. dr. Markus Gross at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich.
